Mason Chock

Bio/Background

Mason Chock is a former County Council Member on the island of Kauaʻi in Hawaiʻi. His work with environmentalism mainly focused on integrating environmentally friendly processes into local communities. He helped Kauaʻi achieve energy goals of 70% renewable energy generation by 2030 and 100% by 2045. He also worked on food sustainability by encouraging sustainable practices on the part of local farmers and local consumers. Chock is the owner of Kupu aʻe, a business that encourages local community members, especially youth, to develop leadership skills so that they can effect local change.
