Okty Damayanti

Bio/Background

Okty Damayanti is the divisional head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Adaro Energy. Prior to joining Adaro Energy, Damayanti was responsible for managing CSR programs at Unilever, Indonesia. Working with Zuraida Murdia Hamdie (see separate profile), Hamdie has overseen multiple corporate social responsibility projects in Kalimantan and East Java.  Many of these projects are centered around promoting environmental sustainability through social change. Some of their notable projects include the “Clean Up Tabalong Day” and starting the Waste Bank initiative in rural villages in Kalimantan.

But secondly, we start small:  We start in one village or in one district. Then once we are successful in one village or one district, we can replicate fast”
